REFLECTION

This eLearning course in coaching fundamentals was created using the eLearning authoring tool, Articulate Rise 360. I was able to expand on the content I created in the interactive learning object to design even more interactive learning experiences in a more efficient and timely manner. Some of the interactive features included throughout the eLearning course include: interactive labels (hotspots), video and audio, flashcard interactions, learning checks, and quizzes.

The eLearning course consists of an introductory lesson, three content-driven lessons, and a concluding quiz. Within the introductory lesson, the learner is provided action-based learning objectives and a preview of the three lessons. Each lesson aims to deliver the content in meaningful and impactful ways by purposefully choosing activities and interactions. Learning checks have been embedded into each lesson to help learners monitor their progress and a summative quiz is included at the end of the course.

The scope of this project made it simple to satisfy any objectives or standards pertaining to creating conditions for learning, evaluation, or learning environments. For these reasons, I meet the second objective of the graduate program as well as AECT Standard 3 (Learning Environments) and AECT 4 (Professional Knowledge and Skills).

Graduate Program Objective 2: Create conditions for learning by applying theories (e.g. learning theories, curriculum theory and communications theories) to authentic scenarios involving diverse populations.

AECT Standard 3 (Learning Environments): : Candidates facilitate learning by creating, using, evaluating, and managing effective learning environments.

AECT Standard 4 (Professional Knowledge and Skills): Candidates design, develop, implement, and evaluate technology-rich learning environments within a supportive community of practice.
